Move FTP Data Without Local Storage

I’m trying to move a bunch of old archives from my FTP server into OneDrive, but my Mac’s SSD is already close to full. Last time I tried doing a manual transfer, it created tons of temporary files and basically pushed the system to its limits. I really don’t want to download huge folders locally just to upload them again. Is there any way to move everything directly without using up local disk space or stressing the SSD?

I ran into something similar when I had to handle an ftp to onedrive for business https://mac.eltima.com/ftp-to-onedrive/ migration for my team. My laptop didn’t have the storage for temporary copies either. What helped was using a method explained on allowed me to mount both the FTP server and OneDrive straight into Finder so nothing had to be saved locally. The files moved directly between the two services, and my SSD didn’t get touched at all. It made the whole process way smoother and a lot safer for the hardware.
